Derelict Spells & Builds Guide

To cast spells you need:

1. An Ancient Arts Scroll (found in world or bought)
2. A Staff or Tome equipped
3. Souls in your Souls bar to cast
4. Spells equipped at a Bonsai station

Cast equipped spells with Z, X, C. Level Sorcery skill by casting spells to improve damage scaling.

Best for: Players who enjoy close combat and parrying

• Weapon: Aureatus Greatsword or Crimson Sword
• Armor: Aureatus Set or Crimson Set
• Skill focus: Strength, Mining, Crafting
• Weapon Art: Overhead Slam or Solar Charge
• Accessory: Lionheart Ring (optional, high risk)

Level Strength by using melee weapons. Prioritize Power scaling weapons. Break boss posture with heavy attacks then riposte.

Best for: Ranged damage and spell variety

• Weapon: Aureatus Staff or Solar Tome / Lunar Tome
• Armor: Light armor for fast casting (Cerise Set)
• Skill focus: Sorcery, Alchemy
• Spells: Solar Link, Lunar Might, Soul Vortex, Crystal Eruption

Solar Tome synergizes with Solar spells; Lunar Tome with Lunar spells. Craft Aureus Bars at Solar Altar for Aureatus Staff endgame.

Best for: Safe kiting and boss chip damage

• Weapon: Pine Long Bow or Aureatus Bow
• Offhand: Flare Quiver or Frost Quiver
• Skill focus: Archery
• Weapon Art: Piercing Shot

Level Archery by shooting enemies. Carry multiple arrow types. Excellent for pulling enemies one at a time in dungeons.

The current endgame meta centers on Aureatus gear:

1. Reach Veiled Cathedral and find the Solar Altar
2. Craft Aureus Bars during daytime at the altar
3. Forged full Aureatus Set + Aureatus weapon of choice at Anvil
4. Equip Solar Tome + Solar Link spell OR Aureatus Greatsword + Solar Charge
5. Add Lionheart Ring for bonus damage when HP is low

This build handles all current bosses and open-world content. Update your build after each major patch.
